FURTHER UPDATE ON WATER DISCOLOURATION IN USK AREA FROM WELSH WATER

Dear Councillor,

Following my email yesterday to let you know that Welsh Water had a burst on one of our pipes, I’m pleased to let you know that the repair has been completed and supplies should return to normal throughout the day. Some customers in the wider area may experience an intermittent supply and discolouration during the day, however if customers experience any discolouration it should clear by running the cold kitchen tap.

For any customers on a meter that need to run their water for it to clear we can arrange a flushing allowance. For more information and advice on discoloured water, please visit our website www.dwrcymru.com. If any customers have any issues with their water they are welcome to give us a call on 0800 052 0130.

The A4077 is currently still closed to traffic, however we are working with the organisers of Greenman festival and the Police to facilitate the traffic leaving the festival site today to ease congestion and we will then have traffic lights on the A4077 for a couple of days while we fully recharge the main and complete the reinstatement of the road.
