Notification of Water Discolouration in Usk Area

I wanted to let you know that Welsh Water has a burst on one of our water pipes just outside Crickhowell. Our team are on site carrying out the repair work and we anticipate the repair will be completed by later on tonight. While we carry out the repair the A4077 Crickhowell Road between Gilwern and Crickhowell will be closed to traffic and diversions in place. All relevant authorities have been informed.

Because of the burst to the water pipe, we have a team out flushing the water network. As a result some customers may have discoloured water in the Llanover, Nant-y-Derry, Penperlleni, Monkswood, Usk and surrounding areas. The discoloured water will clear by running the cold kitchen tap. We will send a text out to customers that will be affected to let them know.
